IE8 brings in lots of improvements and new cool features like accelerators, crash recovery, built-in phishing prevention and inprivate browsing. With all this browser has inside, upgrading to IE8 is surely interesting. Still, I’m sure it needs more than what everything IE8 offers now to get users of other browsers to switch back to the browser. If you have already installed IE8 but then decide to uninstall it, here you are the guide on how to uninstall IE8 from Windows XP and Vista.
Uninstall IE8 in Windows XP
Uninstalling IE8 in Windows XP is as simple as uninstalling other programs. Access “Add/Remove Programs” from the Control Panel and find the name of the browser in the listed programs. Click the remove button to uninstall it. IE8 will be uninstalled, and you’ll be prompted to restart your Windows to revert to the earlier version of Internet Explorer.
For users that install Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) after installing IE8 may not be able to uninstall the browser. In this case, you have to uninstall the service pack before uninstaling IE8.
